| The National Inland and Offshore Committee deals with issues of safety and the related regulatory issues. Because of our long tradition of safety, SAS has been authorised by SAMSA to conduct safety inspections and sailing exams. SAS is the only agency that has been authorised by SAMSA to issue skipper's tickets. The National Inland and Offshore Committee is thus responsible for: | |

Administering a certification system covering Certificates of Listing, Certificates of Fitness and Certificates of Competence. |

Managing a pool of examiners to conduct examinations for Certificates of Competence. |
