LISTING YOUR VESSEL
In order to get a Certificate of Fitness from South African Sailing (SAS) you need to list your yacht under your name on the SAS database. Listing requires proof of ownership as described on the application form.

| Submissions with application | |
| Additional owners (required if the vessel is owned by a company or trust or multiple owners) | |
| TYPE | COST |
| Discounted prices for SAS Members | R400.00 |
| Non members | R800.00 |
| Replacement certificates | R115.00 |
| CASA to SAS conversions | R115.00 |
When you list your boat, you get an "SA" number if it is a sailing boat, or a "ZA" number if it is a powerboat. The SA or ZA number has to be displayed on your boat.
If you wish to change your vessel's name, you have to apply for a new certificate of listing. The SA or ZA number does not change. The charge is therefore much less than for a change of ownership
