Prerequisite courses
OVERVIEW:
Club accreditation is used to recognise someone who has attended a Judges Seminar. Club level is the entry level to the officiating pathway and is used to teach officials the basic knowledge and skills used to carry out their role. Competency in practical skills is acquired on the job and isn’t a requirement for accreditation. An official accredited at club level often provides a support role to a more senior official, i.e. an experienced club official or someone accredited at regional level or higher, and in most cases, a club level official will only carry out their role at events held at their own club. An experienced club level official will sometimes take on leadership roles, but usually at their own club.
Pre Requisites to this accreditation are attendance at the most recent Judges Seminar and a portfolio of evidence detailing the events that you assisted the Protest chair.
This accreditation requires renewal every 4 yrs. in line with the RRS revision by World Sailing. The renewal will be attending the will be attending the Judges Seminar scheduled at that time.
