2025 SA Sailing Youth National Championship

Dates: 14 to 18 December 2025
Venue: Hermanus Yacht Club
Organising Authority: Hermanus Yacht Club with the consent of SA Sailing.

The event is governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules Of Sailing. The SA Sailing Regulations for National and Regional Championships will apply.

RRS Appendix P applies. In addition to the provisions of RRS 61.1 (a), the protesting boat shall inform the Race Committee at the finishing line immediately after finishing, or as soon as practicable after she retires, of the boat/s being protested. This changes rule 61.1(a).

Eligibility and Entry

4.1 The regatta is open to all qualifying dinghy and catamaran classes.
4.2 Eligible boats may enter online by logging on the SA Sailing website using the following link to this page: https://www.sailing.org.za/events/269910
4.3 Classes that do not meet the requirements for National Championships may be transferred to an “O Class”.
4.4 Competitors must be under the age of 19 years on 31 December 2025 and must, in addition, comply with any age limits specified by their applicable class rules.

  Struggling to register: Follow these key steps! 

1. If you not already logged into your profile. Log in at the top of the window at MY SA SAILING LOGIN
2. Navigate back to the WHATS ON page, find the event, click once to get back to this page and click the Register button at the top of the page and you good to go.
3. If you on a double handed boat, have your crews details handy - you are going to need them to complete your registration.
4. If you not seeing the entry fees coming up, you not logged in as the sailor doing the event, only those eligible to compete will be able to complete their entry.
5. Not able to register, your membership with your club may need resolving. Only those whose membership SA Sailing has been able to activate will be able to enter. (this is done when your respective club declares you and provides the necessary payment) 
6. Not sure of your log in details or forgotten your password, from the MY SA SAILING LOGIN page, follow the FORGOT PASSWORD process.
