NOTICE OF REGATTA
Pretoria Sailing Club Charity Regatta
in aid of the National Sea Rescue Institute
Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th January 2020
Sailing
• This regatta is open to all mono-hull dinghy classes up to 6.7 meters
• The regatta incorporates the Finn Highveld Championships.
• The skipper and crew should be members of a SAS-affiliated club.
• Five or more boats must enter to form a class. Boats not forming a class will form part of the Open Class.
• The 2017 – 20 World Sailing Racing Rules of Sailing will govern the regatta.
• Registration: entries for the Charity Regatta will be accepted at the venue from 8:30 to 09:30 on Saturday 26th January 2019.
• Entry fees will be R350.00 per two-man senior boat and R250.00 per senior single-handed boat.
• Juniors are reduced in price this year. They will be R150.00 per two-man boat and R100.00 per single-handed boat. Skipper and crew (if sailing a two-man boat) must be under 19 years of age to be considered as a junior and must sail a junior recognised class boat.
• Sailing Instructions will be available at the PSC Committee Room and registration tables.
• The warning signal for the first race will not be before 10:30 on the Saturday morning.
• No more than 10 races will be sailed with three races making a regatta. One discard if 4-6 races are sailed. Two discards if 7+ races are sailed.
• The Courses to be sailed will be either club courses or Olympic. Course cards showing the club courses will be issued on registration at the registration desk.
Accommodation
• Free camping is available on the PSC premises. For camping details or bookings please contact Shirley Addison not later than 18th January 2019.
• Rietvlei Nature Reserve Chalets may be available on a first come first serve basis to the general public. They sleep up to six persons. To book call 012 358 1819
Activities
• Catering and refreshments will be available from the Galley. Coffee and Tea is free to competitors. Please pre-pay for your meals at Registration in accordance with your needs as part of the registration process. Price for each meal shown below:
Breakfast: R30
Lunch: R55
Supper Braai Pack: R85
• Shore activities includes a swimming pool, Jungle Gym, etc.

ALL INCOMING BOATS AND DOLLIES MUST BE WASHED ON ARRIVAL AT THE FACILITY PROVIDED NEAR GATE 1. ENTRY WILL BE AT GATE 2.
