At the end of last year, I tried to impress the importance of volunteers in our sailing family, and the importance of us recognising voluntary contributions.
At the recent presentation of the World Sailing Sustainability Award to Sail Africa, it came to my attention that someone had been overlooked. I have subsequently found out about the role that Tarryn Millar played in the establishment and sustaining of Sail Africa – from its inception in 2007 until Sail Africa became more sustainable around 2013.
