I really don’t know where to start – there is so much good news to share. You are just going to have to read all the way to the end.
The most far-reaching news, I suspect, is the progress that has been made on the access and tenure front.
As I am sure you are aware, we (OSASA and SA Sailing, along with RCYC) have been working towards achieving a regulation in terms of Sect 79 of the National Ports Act, which would have ensured access to the water and tenure to facilities for SA Sailing-affiliated clubs in all ports under the control of the TNPA – well that didn’t happen.
In the process though, it is clear that the Department of Transport started a dialogue with the TNPA, which has resulted in a very favourable outcome... Read more...
