Sailing and Leisure Boating named the 2021 Theme of Year for CMTP

A Sailing recently met with representatives from the Department of Transport (DoT), SABBEX and RCYC following on the heels of the department’s public announcement that sailing would be the theme this year for their Comprehensive Maritime Transport Policy (CMTP). This was to discover exactly what this means for the sport, particularly in the year ahead.

President's Update - The Value Proposition

And, as was no doubt inevitable, I was asked about a “value proposition” for South African Sailing. Of course I had to Google the concept, to be sure that I did not embarrass myself in the subsequent discussions, and as my knowledge grew, so I became more and more convinced that the formally defined “value proposition” was not where the real value of a membership of SA Sailing lay.
