NTP Judges Seminar – (new or renewing)

A Judges Seminar will be held in Cape Town over the weekend of 9-11 June, with Lance Burger and Alan Keen doing the training. The seminar will be beneficial to all sailors who serve on protest committees from time to time, as well as to all existing regional and national judges and race officers.

The programme will include a two hour “Racing Rules review” on the evening of Friday 9th, lectures and group work on Saturday 10th and the morning of Sunday 11th, and a test on the Sunday afternoon. Writing and passing the test is a requirement for those working towards becoming a National, Regional or District Judge, and for existing National Judges wanting to extend their four-year accreditation period. The test is optional for all other delegates, although experience has shown that writing the test is an excellent way of consolidating the learnings gained during the seminar.

National Race Officer Renewal workshop on 22 June at 17h30 (Open to all)

Renewal is based on compulsory attendance of theory workshop and the submission of portfolio of evidence which includes positve class feedback during certificiation validity period. With a minimum of 1 national or 2 regional events  or 20 club races plus one event.
