Youth Opportunity: Ocean Globe Race 2023

The Ocean Globe Race 2023 have an amazing opportunity to offer youth sailors to compete in the Ocean Globe Race 2023 (OGR). They will become key members of the ‘Explorer’ Race Team.

McIntyre Adventure, owners of race entrant ‘Explorer’, is offering funded places. Do you know someone aged 18-24 who would be interested?

The OGR 2023 is on the 50th anniversary and in the spirit of the original 1973 Whitbread Round-The-World Race. The race, in four legs, departs from Southampton, UK, in September on a remarkable eight month adventure.

Key Selection Criteria

• Member of an existing sailing academy/club/association or similar
• 1000-1500nm sailing experience (preferred)
• Experience of life on longer yacht passages
• National of the country of leg’s port of departure (UK, South Africa, New Zealand, Uruguay)
• Is passionate, driven, with a can-do attitude
