Launch of Inland Water Strategy

The Inland Waters Strategy was launched on 22 October 2021 at Lake Deneys Yacht Club, Vaal Dam in the Free State province. The launch was attended by, amongst others, the Executive Mayor of Metsimaholo Local Municipality, Councilor Lindiwe Tshongwe, Department of Transport Deputy Director-General of Maritime, Mthunzi Madiya, representatives from the Department of Fisheries, Forestry, and Environment, the South African Navy, Captains of the Maritime Industry, Commodore and members of LDYC, South African Sailing Vice President Vernon Brown, CEO of OSASA and SA Sailing ocean cruising councilor Peter Sherlock with John Franklin, OSASA company secretary.
