Testing times these are…
It seems that we had just got through the brunt of Covid, and put the insurrection moment behind us, when we are dealt a round of flooding such as few have ever experienced.
As always, there are some of our community right in the middle of it. Closest to me are Lucy and Precious. Lucy saw her home ruined and her neighbour’s house literally washed away while Precious’s home has been inundated with mud. But they are not the only ones. The Manten’s operation on the Vaal Dam has been impacted with a dam logging 115% of capacity and the clubs on the dam are all facing challenges.
