SA Sailing Recognised SYC Training Centre status August 2021

SA Sailing recently announced two new Recognised Training Centres. MAC Inclusive Aquatic Centre in the Western Cape as well as the Sailing SA Training Centre (who have opened a second training facility at Stilbaai Yacht Club on the Vaal Dam) were recently added to the list of recognised SA Sailing Recognised Training Centres.
Sailing SA Training Centre, Stilbaai Yacht Club, have been accredited for their Learn to Sail programme, Dinghy & Multihull, Level 1-4, Train to Compete and Performance Coaching.
Rear Commodore Derek van Heerden was thrilled with the new development, saying: “As a club we very happy to be accredited. Stilbaai Yacht Club have been striving to grow sailing at all levels and in all classes, being accredited means we are heading in the right direction. It will enable more people to learn how to sail, no matter the age and that will grow the sailing fleet at our club over time.” Read more...
