Windsurfer World Championships 2022 – a stunning Sicilian experience
Without historical stats to hand it’s hard to verify whether this was the biggest Worlds yet, but this year’s event hosted 347 sailors from around the world, made up of 64 women and 283 men. It was nice to see an under-15 and under-19 division making an appearance in the line-up.
Of the bigger countries (10 or more sailors), Italy had 175 participants so by far the biggest presence (half the fleet!), followed by France with 44, Australia with 38, Netherlands with 32, Finland with 19 – and yup,
