ZYC – Leading the Way in Effective Transformation Strategies

Jackie Smit’s is a name that has become synonymous with transformation in sailing. She has been on the Executive Committee of Zululand Yacht Club for six years. Smit initially joined the team as the Entertainment Officer. In 2016 she became the first female Vice Commodore at ZYC, and is now Commodore. ZYC have been leading the way in terms of effective transformation strategies within sailing and Smit herself has engaged with tribal leaders and tourism departments in the Zululand district to make transformation a reality and not just a buzzword.
